I am a history student. It was our last year at the university. History provides us with information about our ancient civilization. Our history professor gave us a topic to write about last month that included the history, culture, and civilization of a city. We choose Plymouth as our assignment topic. For knowing more about Plymouth, we arrange a trip to Plymouth. We choose company cab so that we don’t feel any traffic issues on the way. The company has a very simple hiring process. We booked a cab online from the company site. The cab driver was available at the airport when we arrived there. He welcomed us warmly. After placing our luggage in the trunk of the cab, the driver opened the cab door for us. We sat in the cab and our journey starts from Southend Airport to Plymouth.

As our journey was long, we don’t face any difficulty during the whole travel. The company cab driver was driving slowly and smoothly. We asked him to play romantic music in the cab. The cab driver played such nice music in the cab which we enjoyed a lot. Besides this, we also got an internet facility in the cab. We used social media sometimes. Later we stayed at a hotel and took tea. After this, we start our journey again. Almost after five hours of travelling, we reached Plymouth.

South West England's Plymouth is a port city and unitary authority. It is situated on Devon's south coast, some 193 miles (311 km) south-west of London and 36 miles (58 km) south-west of Exeter. Cornwall is its neighbour to the west and southwest.

The Bronze Age marks the beginning of Plymouth's history when the first community at Mount Batten arose. The Roman Empire continued to use this community as a commercial hub until it was superseded by the more lucrative village of Sutton, which was created in the ninth century and is now known as Plymouth. The Pilgrim Fathers set up Plymouth Colony, the second English settlement in what is now the United States of America, after leaving Plymouth for the New World in 1620. The town was captured by the Parliamentarians during the English Civil War and was under siege from 1642 until 1646.

We visited the Plymouth Combined Crown and Country Court centre. We stayed there for a while, collecting some historical information from there. We asked company cab driver to move towards Devonport. We go through Grade I listed Town Hall, Column and Library in Devonport. We also saw Elliot Terrace in Plymouth Hoe.

It was evening, so we moved back from Plymouth to Southend Airport. company cab driver behaved us well throughout the way. We don’t feel any boring situation at all. It was my first trip to Plymouth with my University fellows. We enjoyed our travelling as well because we were also fond of travelling. After five hours of travelling, we reached Southend Airport. After paying hiring charges to the company cab driver, we moved towards our destination. As we were tired, we slept in the memories of Plymouth.
